GETTING THERE & WHERE TO STAY
Getting to Ormeau Park from Belfast city centre
If you’re already in Belfast and making your way to Ormeau Park, here are your best options:
By bus (recommended)
Take the bus from central Belfast and get off at the stop closest to the park. The journey takes around 20 minutes.
Alternatively, you can catch one of the “Metro” buses numbered 7A - 7D heading along Ormeau Road; these stop just outside the park.
By taxi
A taxi from the city centre to Ormeau Park takes about 10-15 minutes.
Please note there will be no on-site parking so public transport is highly recommended. Stay tuned closer to festival time about more info on which entrances to use etc!
Getting to Ormeau Park from Dublin
If you’re travelling from Dublin to join WellFest in Belfast, here’s how to reach Ormeau Park:
By train + local transit (recommended option)
From Dublin city centre, you can travel with Irish Rail and catch a train from Dublin Connolly station to Belfast. This journey takes around 2 h 10 min.
Once you get off the train, switch to a local bus heading along Ormeau Road (e.g. Metro 7A–7D) and get off close to Ormeau Park.
By coach / bus
There are coach services from Dublin (departing from central Dublin) that go to Belfast — from there, you can transfer to a local Belfast bus to reach Ormeau Park.
By car / driving
Driving from Dublin to Ormeau Park is also an option: the drive takes roughly 1 h 50 min under normal conditions. Please note there will be no on-site parking at WellFest, so we highly recommend using public transport.
Travel Tips & What to Know
If you’re arriving by train or coach and want convenience and speed, the train + local bus combo is typically the best: you avoid traffic and parking issues, and it’s fairly reliable.
The “Metro 7A-7D” local buses are the most direct public transport option to get you from Belfast city centre to right outside the park.
Check the local transport operator’s schedules in advance (especially if travelling by bus), since weekends and hours can affect frequency.
